Peanut Butter Blossom Cookies- Taylor Brooks

Peanut Butter Blossom Cookies-
Ingredients:
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup creamy peanut butter
1 cup butter (softened)
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 cups flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 cup additional granulated sugar to roll cookies in
Hershey kisses

Directions:

  • Preheat oven to 375
  • In large bowl beat 1/2 cup sugar, brown sugar, peanut butter, butter, eggs and vanilla on low speed
  • Shape dough into 1-inch balls and roll in granulated sugar
  • Place on engrossed cookie sheet about two inches apart
  • Bake for approximately 8 minutes, remove from oven and gently push one hershey kiss into the center of each cookie
In this recipe I used the creaming method. We spent a whole couple weeks in class just making cookies using the creaming method. This method made my product very fluffy and gooey. These cookies melted right in my mouth and they tasted delicious. 

These cookies were absolutely amazing! They are my favorite holiday cookie. The taste of the tiny bits of sugar and peanut butter just melted right into your mouth. The texture was perfect. The combinations of all the ingredients created the perfect flavor. The chocolate kiss right in the middle really hit the spot, after you took a bit of the peanut butter, you have to have a bite of the chocolate, it just tops the entire cookie off. 

I would definitely make this again, and I will keep making these cookies for a very long time. I learned that if you don't put the hershey kiss on top of the cookie right away, it will be very difficult to get it to stick to the cookie. They are the best cookies in the world and I think everyone hasn't lived until they have had a peanut butter blossom cookie!
