Prep Time: 15 Minutes
Cook Time: 10 Minutes
Ready In: 25 Minutes

Ingredients:
1 Cup of Softened Butter
1 1/2 Cup of Sugar
1 Large Egg
1/2 Teaspoon of Baking Powder
2 and 3/4 Cups of Flour
1 Teaspoon of Vanilla Extract
1 Teaspoon of Baking Soda

Directions:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. In small bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Set aside.
  • In a large bowl cream together butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in egg and vanilla. Gradually blend in dry ingredients.Roll rounded teaspoonfulls of dough into balls and place onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  • Bake 8 to 10 Minutes or until outer part of cookies are golden. Let stand on cookie sheets for 2 minutes before removing and letting cool on wire racks.
In this recipe I used the creaming method by creaming the sugar and sugar together which hekped create bubbles in the mixture when baking. I followed each instruction perfectly but, I had to take the cookies out a little earlier because of the cookies cooking a little faster than they usually would.

These sugar cookies were soft and but had a slightly crunchy outside. I added some frosting to the top to add sweetness to the bland cookies. The first batch was a little crunchier than the rest but, after I knew that I had to adjust the time they came out perfectly.

Now that I have made these sugar cookies a couple times they would really be perfect for Holiday gatherings with families. Also, they could be made just for something to much on! I would rate this recipe a good 10/10!
